Every AIGLE boot is a unique, handmade item.
There are 4 major steps required to make a natural rubber boot:
Parcours ISO
Parcours ISO

  • first the natural rubber compounds. The rubber is ground, laminated, coloured and enriched with additives, before being transformed into sheets ready to be cut into reinforcements using dies.
  • the second step consists of assembling all these components onto chosen lining. Each rubber reinforcement, in double or triple layers, is placed by hand onto aluminium lasts.
  • once assembled, the boot is vulcanised in an oven at over 140 degrees celsius for one hour. After this operation, the boot retains its definitive shape.
  • Finishing and quality control are the final stages in bootmaking. All AIGLE boots are checked for waterproofness, appearance and correct assembly.
