Every
AIGLE boot is a unique, handmade item.
There
are 4 major steps required to make a natural rubber boot:

first
the natural rubber compounds. The rubber is ground, laminated,
coloured and enriched with additives, before being transformed
into sheets ready to be cut into reinforcements using
dies.
the
second step consists of assembling all these components
onto chosen lining. Each rubber reinforcement, in double
or triple layers, is placed by hand onto aluminium lasts.
once
assembled, the boot is vulcanised in an oven at over 140
degrees celsius for one hour. After this operation, the
boot retains its definitive shape.
Finishing
and quality control are the final stages in bootmaking.
All AIGLE boots are checked for waterproofness, appearance
and correct assembly.
